Museum Rules for Visitors

Every visitor to the museum shall respect personal safety and the instructions of museum employees, especially when rail vehicles are in motion. In this respect, visitors are fully responsible for themselves and any minors whom they accompany.

  1. To enter and exit the museum, visitors may use only the permitted access routes from the public road in the direction of Krušovice through the protected railway crossing at the signal box. Visitors must exercise extreme caution when moving in the vicinity of the station tracks.
  2. On the museum’s premises, visitors are only allowed to move in designated areas and along marked paths (according to the map). When crossing the tracks, the visitor should not step on the rails, but over them.
  3. The visitor is responsible for ensuring that especially children are at a safe distance at all times from the turntable and inspection pits in the repair and maintenance hall, and in the roundhouse.
  4. The visitor shall respect a strict prohibition on manipulating any machinery or controllers. He or she shall also unconditionally observe the prohibition on climbing on the vehicles and structures on the premises. The visitor shall not step onto galleries, footboards, ladders or other parts of vehicles or buildings. In addition to the danger of possible soiling, falling or injury to the visitor, the exhibits can be damaged as well.
  5. The visitor shall help to keep the museum’s premises clean and shall not damage the facilities or the exhibits. Smoking is prohibited on all museum premises.
  6. The visitor is obligated to report to a museum employee any exceptional event, injury, fire, theft or damage involving exhibits.
  7. Filming and photography for commercial use are prohibited on all museum premises. Exceptions are granted by the museum’s management only, and on the basis of booked orders.
  8. In the event of a repeated or gross violation of the Museum Rules for Visitors, the visitor may be ordered to leave the museum premises without any claim to reimbursement of the admission fee.
